Panama | June 20-27, 2026
Trip overview: Through pre-trip and on-the-ground training, as well as hands-on cross-cultural ministry, participants will be prepared to take healthy next steps in missions. You will be involved in strategic activities leading to church planting such as prayer-walking, evangelism, and discipleship, leadership development, and community outreach

Boston | June 30 – July 5, 2026
Trip overview: We are partnering with a new church plant, Avenue Church, pastored by Abilene’s own Robert Parker. Our purpose is evangelism and community outreach to the Needham community.

Nazareth | July 14-25, 2026
Trip overview: We are partnering with Friends of Nazareth and other churches around the US to host a VBS/Day Camp for Arab students in Nazareth who are connected with Nazareth Baptist School. The trip will also include limited sight- seeing. Stops may include Jerusalem, Dead Sea/Masada/Qumran, Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, Coastal Plain (Haifa, Caesarea, Jaffa).

Guatemala | August 1-8, 2026
Trip overview: We are partnering with UNUM International to build and/or improve their facilities which they use throughout the year to reach children and students with the hope of the gospel. UNUM also works to reduce illiteracy and eradicate chronic malnutrition through education and nutritional support.

Local Missions
Missions begin right here in our own backyard. Through our Sunday School classes and trusted local partners, Abilene is actively meeting needs and sharing the love of Christ throughout the CSRA. Whether it’s providing meals, offering shelter, serving vulnerable women, or walking alongside those in crisis, our members are making an impact every day. We partner with local agencies such as:- Broad Street Ministry Center
- iCare
- Lighthouse Church
- Augusta Rescue Mission
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
- Augusta Pregnancy Center
If you want to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your own city, local missions is a great place to start.
National Missions
Our calling doesn’t stop at the state line. Abilene is proud to support and partner with ministries making a Gospel impact across the United States. From legal advocacy to church planting and adoption care, our national partners are bringing truth, hope, and healing to communities from New England to Hawaii. Ministries we support include:- Alliance Defending Freedom

Through prayer, giving, and occasional mission trips, our church family plays an active role in advancing the Kingdom across our nation.
Global Missions
God’s heart is for the nations—and so is ours. Abilene sends and supports mission teams around the world to share the Gospel, strengthen churches, and serve those in need. In recent years, we’ve sent teams to Panama, Guatemala, Poland, and Mexico, each with the purpose of pointing people to Jesus. We also support global missions financially through trusted partners like:- International Mission Board (IMB)
- Friends of Nazareth
- A church plant in Turkey
