Student Ministry

In the Student Ministry, we seek to introduce students to Jesus, inspire students to obey God, and involve students in ministry.

The Abilene Student Ministry exists to create an environment where Middle School and High School Youth can connect with God (and each other) and grow in their faith.

Most of the weekly youth activities take place in our Christian Life Center which is also known as the “C.L.C” or “LifeHouse.”  Students are able to enjoy the gym, game room and food in the Café on a weekly basis.  Weekly events include small group Bible study fellowship on Sunday morning as well as large group worship and message on Wednesday evening in our youth room (The Living Room).

Our yearly events include Disciple Now Weekend, Winter Retreat, Summer Camp, Hay Day, the All Niter, Turkey Bowl (flag football) and more! Mission trips have taken Abilene students to locations such as New Orleans, LA, Rock Hill, SC and the nation of Guatemala, to name a few. Local ministry opportunities have included service at Broad Street Ministry Center, nursing home visitation and multiple work projects throughout the year. Students are also able to use their musical gifts in our Youth Choir and Praise Band. High School juniors and seniors have additional opportunities through our LifeGuard Leadership Program.
